Originated with Andrew and Brandon from Grand Island Nebraska. "Real Friends" is used to a describe a friendship between two people that completely understand each other. It's the upper echelon of all friendships and is even ranked above the relationship. Keep in mind though that the "real friends" are not gay, it's just that their friendship is so strong that even a heterosexual relationship between a couple cannot compared to the strength of this friendship.
