An update of the cad monkey: An employee who uses current BIM ie Building Information Modeling CAD program Revit for an architectural or engineering firm - all day, every day. Taken from the Walt Disney term 'Imagineer'; it is based on the false notion that Revit/BIM will somehow free the production staff to embark on some nobler adventure -to actually PRACTICE architecture/design- when, in fact, they are still just CAD monkeys; only with more complicated software.
