Any drug you can buy over the counter (OTC), named after the common flavor found in OTC drugs. The most popular use of this term is to describe cough and/or cold medicines. The term originates from New York. It is less popular now, however, due to the fact that phetamines are being drastically reduced on the market and many "cherry drugs" don't give the consumer the same "high" as in previous years.
