Scratchet is a combination of the words "Ratchet" and "scratch". The word originates by means of the leading character role in the popular game franchise "Ratchet and Clank". Ratchet is a lombax, and being the lombax he is, Ratchet has large, floppy ears. They appear to be yellow with three, brown stripes. More importantly, Ratchet's ears appear to be soft and somewhat of a giddy muse to the touch, much more than the average, furry, game character. This being the case, it's become an interest of a unsaid number of fanboys to want and scrach Ratchet behind his ears. The idea seems to be somewhat of a childish and immature, yet hight amusing fancy.
