A small city with a population of about 25,000 located in the beautiful Texas hill country about 55 miles NW of San Antonio on I-10. Kerrville is home to Schreiner University, the original HEB grocery store, the original James Avery Craftsman, Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital, one of the highest rated in the area among many other things. Kerrville is known for its high retirement population and is considered one of the best places to retire in the United States due to the temperate, dry climate and top notch health care. There are some beautiful scenic views around the city usually near the Guadalupe River. Also see Kerrvert.
