The result of a user (Valect) on efnet using the host name of someone else, who raises hell in specific channels of choice (such as #seattle or #california). The result is an ineffective ban on the host name that user is utilizing, locking all other users on that host name out of the channel. A frequent victim of valectbans is a user known as Orb.
