A 428 CI engine built by Ford Motor Cokpany between the years of late 1968 and 1970. It came out first to the public on April 1,1968; April Fools Day. It was purposely factored low in the horsepower department to allow it to run in certain racing divisions. It was bumped up in horsepower by the authorites, but still was arguably under stated. It holds records still today, almost 30 years later. When you encounter a 428 Cobrajet..beware..it is badass. Ford later used the Cobrajet nomiker with 429 and 351 engines.
