A murger (肉夹馍, ròujiāmó) is a traditional Chinese street food from Xi'an often considered the world's oldest sandwich or burger, with origins dating back to the Qin Dynasty (221–206 BC). It features chopped slow-cooked meat—traditionally pork—stuffed inside a crispy, handmade flatbread.
