DISTORTION A condition in which incentives, access, or position bend perception away from reality. REVERENCE × DISTORTION Reverence survives distortion by recognizing it as unstable ground. Under distortion: 	•	reverence slows movement 	•	reverence resists shortcuts 	•	reverence refuses leverage that requires misalignment Reverence does not deny opportunity. It refuses to build footing where collapse is inevitable.
