Opinionism. The intellectual belief that one’s opinions are absolute and infallible. Often with little to no evidence, or knowledge on the subject an opinion is formed and once formed cannot be shaken by contradictory results or facts. An Opinionist forms an opinion, perhaps through prejudice and will simply ignore any subsequent information provided that counters the opinion. If the ultimate result of actions taken based on the opinion fail it is not in their eyes because the opinion is wrong. IE: “that wasn’t real socialism”
