A Miami-based data integration and analytics company founded in 2003 by Peter Thiel, Stephen Cohen, Joe Lonsdale, Alex Karp and Nathan Gettings. The primary audience of Palantir is federal agencies, state and local governments, international organisations and some private companies. The company has four primary operating systems, one of which being Palantir Gotham, an intelligence tool used by the United States Intelligence Community and United States Department of Defense. Palantir has been the subject of many controversies, primarily around claims that it allows for government surveillance of citizens.
