A country that is misunderstood by many. No we don't all wear clogs or live in windmills or smoke weed. We are a tolerant people with a government that is about as fast as a octogenarian on sleeping pills but is stable and left leaning. Politically a left leaning country with an interesting history but a dark colonial past, for example the Politionele acties in Indonesia. The infrastructure is very good, one of the best in europe, especially our trains but we complain about the National Railways non stop but that is just because we expect perfection. Fun fact: most of the netherlands is so low it should flood, but due to clever engineering we managed to use dikes not the gals but the flood protection to make sure it doesn't, the most famous of our flood protection works are the deltawork, which is one of the engineering marvels of the world. We also annexed land from the sea and created a new province. It is a lovely place to go but it can be very rainy.
