A variant of Alfred Hitchcock's term "MacGuffin"; popularized by the 2025 DreamWorks Animation sequel "The Bad Guys 2" (the sequel to the 2022 furry favorite heist comedy film "The Bad Guys"; both loosely based on Aaron Blabey's book series), its earliest recorded use dates back to 2021 on this site in an entry by the one-entry wonder user "Tonk of the standard issue". In the context of the former's plot, it is depicted when Professor Marmalade (voiced by Richard Ayoade) tells Diane "Crimson Paw" Foxington (voiced by Zazie Beetz) during her visit the prison he is staying at, that Kitty Kat (a member of the rival "Bad Girls" voiced by Danielle Brooks) plans to use the International Space Station to steal all of the world's gold with such, shown as a rare metal which can magnetize gold with great force. In the case of the latter, it overall is a fictional material used to patch up logic in a story as noted by TOTSI.
