A uniquely Queensland state of mind that sets in after someone hasn’t left Queensland for way too long. Symptoms include aggressive buffet behaviour, chronic “me first” decision-making, pig-headed stubbornness, and a baffling inability to coexist politely with other humans. Often accompanied by loud opinions, territorial behaviour, and the belief that rules, queues, and social norms are for other people. Common triggers include extended exposure to resort wear, all-you-can-eat venues, humidity, and never being challenged by cultures outside the Sunshine State.
