futulier futulier noun A person who designs, shapes, or seeds the future by creating new concepts, language, tools, or cultural patterns; someone who works on what will be usable later rather than what is useful now. Example: “She’s not a planner or a predictor — she’s a futulier. She builds the ideas people will need in ten years.” Alternate definition (more poetic): Someone who tends the future the way a gardener tends soil — preparing conditions for things that do not yet exist. Example: “He doesn’t make products. He’s a futulier.”
