Refers to the Massachussetts criminal justice system, specifically corruption, Norfolk County's DA Morrissey, and the Massachussetts State Police (MSP). The term gained popularity during the first and second controversial Karen Read trials, after evidence suggested the MSP and Canton Police Department may have planted evidence and engaged in a cover-up. Other messy law enforcement scandals, such as the Sandra Birchmore case and the MSP commercial driver license scandal added to the popular use of the word in the True Crime universe.
