501 alarm (adj./noun) A slang term for someone acting so dangerously chaotic, loud, or obviously unhinged that they’re basically guaranteed to get the authorities called on them. A “501 alarm” person is operating at a level of behavior that’s past “wild,” past “crackhead energy,” and deep into “you’re about to go to jail or get involuntarily hospitalized” territory.
