Proxyposting is the act of filming a person or persons for the purpose of posting it on social media without the subjects knowing they are being filmed and without them filming themselves, often with negative commentary. If the subject finds out shortly after filming has concluded, it is still proxyposting as long as they didn't know during filming. For it to truly be proxyposting the subject must be innocent and doing nothing of greater consequence while the one behind the camera must appear physically at some point as well, often with an aura of superiority over the subject. The subject is living in the moment while the one holding the infinite distraction electric slab is simply being a cunt with the hope of ruining the subject's life. If the subject is intentionally participating in the post, it is NOT proxyposting. This word came to me in a dream in which I witnessed an influencer with a large following apologize for "proxyposting again" even though he was merely explaining what the people group he was filming was doing, and not trying to disparage them in any way. Then I realized that we don't really have a word for this sort of behavior, so I made my own definition even if it didn't fit what he was doing exactly.
