To believe all personal or practical problems can be resolved purely through medications, diagnoses and therapy over self-sufficiency, introspection or other non-clinical means. The solutions proposed to practical problems may be overly elaborate with excessive reliance on ‘the data’, academic groupthink or institutional authority. Alternative ideas or solutions which are shown to work but contradict a baron or tycoon of ‘empirical data’ will be silenced through condemnation or other dogmatic behaviour.
