A portmanteau of "Rain Man" and "mannerism". Rain Man was an acclaimed movie from the late 1980's that told the story of a man reuniting and eventually caring for his older brother, who is an autistic savant. Mannerisms are defined as "habitual gestures or ways of speaking or behaving".
