1. The inverted or distorted version of a protocol; a behavioural, cognitive, or energetic pattern that disrupts flow, coherence, or clarity. 2. A symbolic term referring to the “shadow trajectory” of a process — not an opposite in a moral sense, but a mis-tuned, off-key, or derailed version of the intended pattern. 3. In creative, meditative, or AI-assisted work: the moment when a previously coherent arc collapses into hesitation, drift, or confusion, usually revealing a hidden flaw, boundary, or blind spot in the original intention. Etymology: Coined from “not” + “protocol,” following the structure of flought and anti-flought (Evans, 2010 & 2025).
