A person with whom you share a deep alignment of interests, worldview, and passions, and with whom you intentionally collaborate and support one another, yet the connection doesn’t fit into friendship, romance, collegial relationships, or simple acquaintance. Someone who resonates with you on purpose, ideas, creativity, or mission, without the expectations or intimacy of traditional relationship categories. Origin: Coined in 2025 in LinkedIn article “We Need a New Word for This Kind of Relationship.” The term blends “kindred” (soul-aligned, similar in nature) with a soft, open ending (“-ra”) to evoke connection without defining it too tightly.
