Used commonly by those with autism or ADHD, refers to an extreme and overwhelming interest in a game, show, book, movie, or other piece of media. Mentions of such media can cause intense euphoria and almost "awaken" a neurodivergent person. These fixations may get to dangerous or intrusive proportions, where the fixator can only think or talk about their interests. They may even neglect their health to engage in it. Hyperfixations may die out with time, turn on and off, or remain prominent for a majority of a person's life.
