According to the Fandom DSM, Pokéholm Syndrome is a condition where Pokémon fans will undergo violent temper tantrums and mental breakdowns if someone near them criticizes anything about the Pokémon series. Symptoms: *Delusional Thinking | *Unable to differentiate effortful products from slapdash products if all are made by Game Freak specifically | *Temporary shutdown of the prefrontal cortex when seeing anything Pokémon related | *Dysfunctional limbic system that is unable to process negative emotions when the patient experiences anything Pokémon related | *Excessive amygdalal activity when the Pokémon franchise is criticized | *Maladapted Pattern Recognition that falsely presumes "Pokémon fans are never happy" in spite of the patient being a Pokémon fan, usually as a response to any criticism | *Parasocial attachment to the Game Freak company alongside unconditional defense of said company, one similar to a pattern usually detected in maternal behavior towards one's own infant. | Treatment: Exposure Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Tactile Botany (Colloquially known as 'touching grass').
