Originating in Calgary, Alberta - a smiler is an individual who seeks business opportunity and personal gain via developing relationships with absolutely everybody, regardless of moral implications. A smiler may learn that an individual greatly betrayed their close friend, and decide to keep said person in their good graces based on the pretense that they may eventually have something to gain from the relationship. Smilers fight extremely hard to not break character and never allow their genuine personality to slip out, introduce themselves with a huge smile and tight handshake, and work as social chameleons to get what they want under the assumption they are playing "3D Chess" amongst the "sheep". An individual who values profitability over virtue and morality.
