1. Italian slang adopted into English to mean total chaos — loud people, zero productivity, pure mess. 2. Used jokingly to also mean fantastic or wild in a good way. Origin: From fake Italian/Greek roots (γοργός = fierce/intense) + the Italian suffix -aio. Coincidentally sounds like “gorgeous,” which is why people also use it to mean “fantastic.”
