An imaginary character or creature that parents can call upon when their children are being disobedient. Wobbercotts change form depending on what a childs imagination think that they look like ! Also they are only capable of doing things the children's own imagination comes up with wobbercotts can be beckoned by parents and caregivers and are a way to get children to behave without scaring them too badly! Therefore a child or group of misbehaving children can only be scared or threatened into behaving by thier own psyche or imagination!
