The act of publicly sharing or expressing concern for extreme human suffering (especially in war zones like Gaza) immediately before, during, or after broadcasting one’s own life of luxury, leisure, and privilege (e.g. vacationing in Ibiza); often perceived as performative, tone-deaf, or lacking in empathy and decency. Blend of Ibiza (symbol of carefree luxury) and Gaza (symbol of humanitarian crisis).
