A term made in reference to a TikTok video that consisted of a bean soup recipe; comments were flooded with "what if i don't like bean soup?" and other questions that would make you think to yourself, "why don't they just make chicken noodle soup if they hate bean soup so much?" The phrase refers to a person who subconsciously believes and acts like everything told to them must have some sort of relevance to them. Upon encountering information NOT meant to apply to them, bean soupers feel as if the material was targeted and act as if that is so.
