Portmanteau of "Awoo" and "Chuunibyou." Awoo (interj., v.) - An onomatopoeia of a canine howl (especially that of a wolf) associated with Furries, Therians, and PuppyPeople (see: Puppygirl). Chuunibyou (adj., n.) (alt. spelling: Chunibyo; abbrev. Chuuni) - Often translated into English from Japanese as "Eighth-Grade Syndrome." A trope in manga and anime characterized by ostentatious, idiosyncratic, fantastical, and immature speech and behavior, especially in mundane situations where such speech and behavior are considered inappropriate or annoying (such as in school, at work, or in public). Examples of chuunibyou characters include Hououin Kyouma (Steins;Gate), Megumin (Konosuba), and Rikka Takanashi (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!). This condition cannot be cured.
