Coined by a collective of Montreal-based artists, the term Doveboy was born in whispers—possibly in a basement, possibly around a kitchen table late a night. The idea emerged from a shared vision of a man—part circus performer, part emotional magician—asking softly,

“Do you want me to disappear?” …and then vanishing in a flash of doves, only to return moments later with a fruit and a smile.

The Doveboy is a response to toxic masculinity. He doesn’t dominate—he dances. He doesn’t ghost—he slips out like a magic trick and always comes back. He doesn’t shame you—he lifts you up and makes you giggle while doing it.

He’s not a trend. He’s a tender revolution.
