A term to define any wind that blows across the border of both North and South Carolina, in the United States. Coined by Earl Patterson in the 70s when he named an amusement park, "Carowinds", combining Carolina and Winds. Essentially, the singular form of "Carowinds" is a "Carowind". This could also be used to describe a person who travels from North to South Carolina, or vice-versa, very frequently, almost like a wind is pushing them along.
