A person who unintentionally sabotages their own project, brand, or reputation by making tone-deaf, self-important, or contradictory public statements often about the very thing they were hired to promote. Usually accompanied by backlash, memes, and a rapid shift in public opinion. Named after actress Rachel Zegler, who received backlash for her promotional interviews for the Snow White live-action remake, where she criticized the original material and alienated fans, leading to a major PR disaster.
