Able to readily use either of two different forms of measurement. Usually this means SI/Metric and Imperial/Customary. This is distinct from being able to convert between them in your head. Someone who is ambimetric may have an intuitive idea of what a kilometre and a mile are, but may have trouble converting between them using that intuition. Conversely someone who can convert between them easily, but who has to convert into a particular one to have an intuitive idea of what it means is not ambimetric.
