What Is a Scam-Grab? A scam-grab (similar to 'land-grab') occurs when a new innovation, technique, tool, meta or technology enters the crypto market, conditioning participants to adopt a higher time preference due to its profitability and their greed (e.g., new coin meta, rapid creation of new coins and their potential profitability, and overall PumpFun runners). From the scammer’s perspective, a scam-grab represents a massive opportunity to exploit market greed. This leads to a prisoner's dilemma-style race, where scammers rush to extract as much capital as possible before the opportunity disappears.
