A belief system that white people are superior to other races and should dominate them socially, politically, and economically. Justifies colonialism, slavery, and other forms of oppression. The Atlantic slave trade, European colonial labor, Jim Crow laws in the United States, Apartheid in South Africa, and White Australia policies. Examples of racist delusions: -Fantasizing violence against people of different cultures -Having recurring fears of minorities -Paranoia toward non-English speakers -Perceiving minorities as unclean, criminal, or less than human -Feeling persecuted by minorities
