Mass firing or purge of employees without proper review, resulting in massive destruction of human resources in a government agency or business. Often the firings are blanket firing of groups of people in certain areas, or types of employees easy to fire with the ability to appeal. The employees are often people who have no clue as the function and value of the employees and do no analysis of the implications and costs of the firing. In some cases the firings are in retaliation for people excelling at their job, especially when it impacts special interests, with self interests vs the governments or the company.
