Basketballistic Greatness Basketballistic Greatness is the state of mind of a highly dedicated basketball player. Reaching Basketballistic Greatness is the biggest achievement for all basketball players. It is to perfect every movement and every shot. It is to become one with the ball and the court—to become the living manifestation of basketball. The phenomenon can be described as an inner peace surging through the body as you enter a state of flow where only you and the basketball can coexist. The slightest disturbance can repel you from the state, but if you focus, you will sink, descending deeper and deeper into the abyss that basketball has engulfed you in. Basketballistic Greatness can be compared to the goal of reaching enlightenment by the Japanese Samurai. In the movie Coach Carter, the teenagers' goal is to reach Basketballistic Greatness.
