The Aurora was a state-of-the-art Alterra Long-Range Capital Ship sent to the Ariadne Arm to construct a phasegate. Its secret secondary mission involved locating survivors of the Degasi crew, leveraging its advanced scanning technology. While performing a gravity slingshot around Planet 4546B, the Quarantine Enforcement Platform struck the ship with an energy pulse, causing catastrophic hull failure and a crash landing on the planet. The starboard lifepods were destroyed, and most port-side pods were compromised upon landing, leaving Ryley Robinson in Lifepod 5 as the sole known survivor. The Aurora's impact reshaped the terrain, scattering Metal Salvage, Supply Crates, and essential materials nearby. Nine Reaper Leviathans patrol the crash site, adding significant danger. The ship's Drive Core explodes days later, inundating the area with radiation, making exploration impossible without a Radiation Suit until repairs are made. Multiple tools are required to fully explore its interior, accessible only after the explosion. Located at the far eastern edge of the map, the Aurora spans approximately 1,280 meters in length and remains a prominent landmark. Alterra later acknowledged the ship’s loss but censored details about the crash. Ryley Robinson, the only confirmed survivor, ultimately escaped the planet.
