Named for 'Tom Homan' the GOP president's pick for border czar, this term refers to someone who delights in the suffering of others and engages in inhumane, cruel practices. Tom Homan championed the 'family separation' policy under the 45th and now 47th president of the United States. The family separation policy ripped children from the arms of their parents. More than 5,500 children, including infants, were separated from their families. Some children, under Homan's suggested policy, spent over three weeks in overcrowded border control facilities behind chainlink fences, sleeping on concrete floors, where they reported receiving minimal food, had no access to clean clothing or bathing facilities. Girls as young as 10 years old were left to care for younger children.
