Coined by the Poddy Mouth podcast, hosted by Dom Sharpe and E 4our. A portmanteau of the Philly dialectal version of "thorough" (thurl) and the term in pro wrestling "kayfabe," referring to the acknowledgement of the separation between pro wrestlers and the characters they play during official fights, much like how an actor is distinguished in a movie or play. By combining "thurl:" meaning solid, dependable, cool, or real; and "kayfabe:" referring to performing or fronting, thurlfabe is faking in front of others in order to appear move comfortable than you may actually be (ie: drawlin, or posturing).
