Yokohama (横浜) is the second largest city in Japan by population at 3.7 million in 2023. Its kanji means "Horizontal beach" The main touristic attraction is Minatomirai, accessible my the Minatomirai line from Yokohama station or a few minutes walk from the old Sakuragicho station. It houses Yokohama Cosmo World theme park, the Yokohama Cup Noodles Museum, Mark IS mall and World Porters mall, among other attractions. It also famously houses the largest Chinatown in Japan, also accessible by the Minatomirai line. Other popular tourist spots include the Hakkeijima Sea Paradise aquarium, Yamashita park and Sojiji temple to name a few. Bonus: Rent, Hotels and Airbnbs are cheaper here than in Tokyo!
