The act of committing a garf - to goof, miss an obvious point, or do something in a half-assed manner. Reminiscent of Garfield, carrying the connotation of doing something in a lazy manner without necessarily meaning to be lazy, rather, it is in the garfer's nature to be such. To garf often involves becoming so overwhelmed by the amount of information available that one simply cannot process it, glazes over, and retains nothing. For one who garfs, this amount of information tends to be much less than would overwhelm the average person.
