Re-awakening, Renaissance. I believe first used in this way by Dr Marimba Ani in her book, "Let the Circle Be Broken". Originally taken from a phrase meaning, "Get up early", but now increasing used in its metaphorical sense of Re-awakening or Renaissance. (It's not really slang, but if one looks it up it's more contemporary meaning is not given.)
