The action of replacing an idea/concept/work with another idea (usually because the fresh idea seems better/more appealing). The word is usually seen as negative action, as it means replacing existing work, and it could be a worse idea. The word does not entail the action of adding new a idea/concept/work, but suggesting replacing it. Latifing also cannot occur in the conceptual stages of the project. It requires for there to be existing work to be overhauled.
