Alternative pronunciation of 'contrarian': A person who likes or tends to express a contradicting viewpoint, especially one who denounces the majority persuasion, usually because of spite or nonconformity (Wiktionary). 'Contranarian' alternative pronunciation first coined by theoretical physicist and gifted YouTube educator Angela Collier, attributed (possibly facetiously) to her (East) Kentucky accent, though this derivation is disputed by other noted Kentucky scientists such as Brandon K Bay who stated emphatically "Don't put that on us".
