Xenogenders, or xenoidentities, are identities/genders based off of concepts, characters, objects, animals, etc. Usually neurodivergent people use these labels (not all do!) but others can as well. It’s usually used to help explain your interests, how you’re like, how your gender feels like, what your gender feels connected to, etc. These are NOT intended to mock any community, especially not the trans nor the nonbinary. Just because someone’s xenogender doesn’t mean they are transphobic or they identify as what the xenogender is connected to. For example, a xenogender can be froggender, and can be used to describe the connection between frogs and your gender, or the way you may have a froglike personality, but froggenders most likely don’t identify as a frog, hence why xenogender/xenoidentity isn’t kinning. Xenogenders or xenoidentities are part of LGBTQIAX+. They may not always be treated as genders, but they are still valid within the community. You can also use these for fun!
