Templar in human history: member of the Catholic spiritual and knightly order founded in the 12th century in Jerusalem Templar in StarCraft universe: A member of the warrior caste. Protoss society is divided into castes: Warriors (Templars), Workers (Khalai) and Managers (Judges). Any Protoss warrior is a Templar. However, the word "Templar" is only in the names "High Templar" - a skilful psionicist with a connection to the Khala and "Dark Templar" - Nerazim. Any Nerazim warrior is a Dark Templar. Their psionics are not based on a connection to the Khala, but on the energy of the void. The most famous are Tassadar, Zeratul, Artanis, Phoenix, Alarak, and Adun. En Taro Tassadar!
