Edging is when you experience a fakeout that causes a brain or bodily reaction. Or, when an expectation fails in an exact moment, causing an emotional or physical stimuli to the expectant. For example, you are at a rave and the song sounds as if the beat is about to drop, but it does not in that moment, though your body and brain still react as if it did drop.
