When a person claims to be on the autistic spectrum despite having no diagnosis, minimal or no tendencies and increasingly behaves as if they’re severely impaired in order to gain something; whether that be financial aid, sympathy, a following or excuses for poor behaviour. Usually adorned with badges, lanyards or car stickers proclaiming themselves as autistic, often self diagnosed from seeing other fauxtistics on social media, and typically make a huge dramatic announcement about their non existent or fraudulent autism diagnosis. As if they were coming out.
